ABOUT WESTOW ART EXHIBITION
The Westow Art Exhibition is in it's 19th year.
It all started back in 2006 in the old Westow Village Hall,
as a summer project for a teenager (Sarah)
The exhibition soon outgrew the space, and moved to Westow Cricket Pavilion in 2017 upon its completion.

Since the Art Exhibition started, we have raised over £7,000 for
local causes. Including Westow Village Hall, followed by helping with the building of the new cricket club pavilion / community building plus donations to various cancer charities.

In 2024, we raised £642 which enabled us to purchase a portable defibrillator for the Westow Cricket Club Community Pavilion. Which is now in place and accessible to people using
the cricket ground and community pavilion.

Over the years, over 3,000 people have attended and with an
excess of 1,500 exhibits entered.
We are hoping 2024 will be the best one yet.

Back in 2020 we launched this website to enable our community to not only see this years exhibits online, but also purchase artwork for sale during the event and for a whole month after. This is proving popular.
Our hope that one day the website would not just be for the exhibition, but work as a community hub and celebration of our
local artists, has made small steps in the right direction.
Watch this space over the coming months.

Money raised at the 2024 art exhibition will be used to start a 'Westow Art Exhibition Community Fund'.
This will be used to help local community events and projects,
as well as give money to charities.
